While some gamers might be decrying the decision to decrease the total number of Pokémon in the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield for Switch, they can at least take solace that Niantic is still slowly but surely increasing the roster in Pokémon Go. The most recent update has added creatures from the Unova region introduced in the fifth generation of games, Pokémon Black and White.

Some of the creatures should already be available for capture like normal, while others will only be available via eggs or raids. Of course, some will be exclusive to certain regions.

Two kilometer eggs might contain Patrat, Lillipup, Purrloin, or Pidov. Five kilometer eggs can include Blitzle, Drilbur, and Foongus as well as the regions starters, Oshawott, Snivy, and Tepig. Lastly, 10 kilometer eggs will net you Ferroseed, Klink, Litwick, Golett, and Deino.

Raids are another way of collecting Lillipup, Patrat, and Klink as well.

As for the region exclusives: Asia-Pacific is getting Pansage, India, the Middle East, Africa and Europe will play host to Pansear, Panpour will be found in America and Greenland, and Heatmor will be in the Eastern Hemisphere while Durant will be in the West.

Finally, Unova Stones are being added for the evolution of some Pokémon, such as Lampent.

The update should be out by the time you read this, so go out and catch ’em all!
