Fans of the Friday the 13th franchise will have a whole lot to celebrate this summer. A Switch version of Friday the 13th: The Game was announced earlier this year, but today Nighthawk Interactive announced a special retail release for the title, which will include all of the game’s previously released DLC, as well as retail exclusive content. Those who purchase the Ultimate Slasher Edition at GameStop locations will also receive a limited edition poster, as well!
In Friday the 13th: The Game, online players take on the role of either Jason Vorhees or counselors at Camp Crystal Lake, with the goal of murder or survival, respectively. The game pulls from various films in the franchise, offering up a plethora of different skins, including a look based on Jason’s appearance in LJN’s “classic” NES Friday the 13th game.
Friday the 13th: The Game Ultimate Slasher Edition will arrive just in time for camp season when it releases August 13. The title will retail for $39.99.
