Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was a real delight on all three platformers that it debuted on, but if there’s anything fans of the game can definitely agree on, it’s that we all with there was a bit more of it to play. Well, rejoice everyone, because Captain Toad is about to get a bevy of new goodies thanks to incoming paid and free DLC packaged! In fact, some of it can be downloaded right now from the Switch eShop!
First up is the free DLC, which allows anyone to jump in for some good old-fashioned two-player co-op! That’s right, any stage can now be played by you and another person at the same time! This update will be available today: to get playing, simply choose the Partner Adventure option. Meanwhile, the paid DLC package is called Captain Toad: Special Episode and brings with it 18 new challenges across five fresh courses. There are new objectives in old worlds, too, not to mention a hidden shiny crown that must be found!
For those who purchase the DLC pack today, they’ll get immediate access one of the new courses. The remaining will become available when the full set launches on March 14. Alas, none of this new content has been announced for the equally-impressive 3DS version of Captain Toad.
