Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is hurtling towards its impending launch. March 17 will be here in a little more than a week. If you’ve been wondering if the game will be a suitable expansion of the series’ traditionally more action-focused gameplay, then the free demo that is now available in the eShop might be exactly what you’ve been waiting for.
Bayonetta Origins revolves around Cereza, an outcast accepted by neither the Umbra Witches nor the Lumen Sages due to a feud between both clans. One night she summons a demon named Cheshire who comes to inhabit Cereza’s stuffed doll. The two must work together to return Cheshire to Inferno.
Each character has strengths and abilities that the other does not, thus making it imperative for the two to work together in order to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. As noted above, this is a fairly big departure from the Bayontta series’ usual over-the-top action, so it will be interesting to see how this spin-off is received by fans.
