Over the weekend, Yacht Club Games announced that the titular character from the hit game Shovel Knight will appear in the upcoming 3DS title Azure Striker Gunvolt 2. Scanning the Shovel Knight Amiibo will allow players to challenge the character as a guest boss. We’ve embedded a trailer below!
The Azure Striker Gunvolt titles were developed by Inti Creates, but Yacht Club Games will handle publishing duties on the upcoming Striker Pack physical release. A tie-in between the two titles is a bit unsurprising given that announcement, but it should tide fans over until the next campaign releases for Shovel Knight!
Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 is scheduled for release this summer. Stay tuned to Nintendojo for more information on the title in the coming months!
