3DS is all the hype right now, but other than Virtual Boy, did you know that this wasn’t Nintendo’s first foray into 3D gaming? And we’re not talking about stereoscopic Hanafuna cards here, buddy. That’s probably not too surprising even if you’re unfamiliar with whatever else Nintendo has done, since the company is typically a trailblazer when it comes to new ways to play video games.
That doesn’t change how excited we are about 3DS– but we’ll save the official celebration for that until next week. In the meantime, one blurry cross-eyed glance to the past– what was done, how it makes us feel, and what we don’t want to see repeated again in 3D, 2D or even subliminally.
Enjoy,
Noah
