I don’t think zelda is complicated, its very easy to understand and to navigate the menus. Actually i would like the game to be more robust in terms of options, menus, weapons etc. If Ninte do wants to sell a lot of copies of zelda what they have to do is launch a zelda with the graphical style of the e3 2011 demo, give it a triple AAA budget and a huge marketing campaing and then the copies would fly off the shelves. If they simplify the game to reach a massive audience they would loose the core fans of the series… Like me.

Nintendo can simplify Zelda in an important way with WiiU. Move the tutorials to the screen. It’d be like a real navi but it’d never need to pause the game or stop the fun to tell you things you already knew. It’d still be there for new players or new gameplay ideas. It can be made less complex without even harming the game itself.

Pokemon conquest has realy grown on me.You start off with just a jigglypuff and eevee but after a while you will have a good army. While the pokesoldiers only have one move and ability (so far that might change midgame)the attacks have diffrent atributes (not just the moves type but some have range others have multihit) and the fights are more then run at each other and beat each other. The kingdom mangement aspects are very easy (considering how complex koei’s other stratigy games is a releif) if you ever liked a game with the word tactics in the title give it a try. The chance of magic the gathering showing up on 3ds / wiiu is very good since wizards of the coast still work with nintendo on the pokemon ccg

Just listened to this podcast, and thought the 3DS redesign discussion was incredibly well timed. As always, nice work!
