4. Bumper
Before the release of Brawl, fans clamored for the return of the Bumper. Once thrown, the Bumper becomes a part of the stage for some time, knocking away anyone who touches it. The knock back is potent and surprising. The presence of the Bumper creates a more involved battlefield and forces the players to approach the match in different ways. For example, a well placed Bumper next to the edge of the stage makes grabbing the ledge many times more challenging. Or, a Bumper placed right on the ledge of the stage can make edge guarding more effective. Or, you can always just toss it at your enemies, knocking them far away. There are countless ways to use the Bumper, making it one of the most memorable items in the Smash Bros. games.
