Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 rumoured to be heading to Wii U
Just when the thought of Castlevania on 3DS was enough to get your Vampire Killer heart pumping, the bat-tastic franchise may well be coming to Wii U too. According to the Paul Gale Network, Castlevania: Lord of Shadow 2 is also in development for Nintendo’s new home console, and apparently it might even interact with the rumoured 3DS game as well. Of course, as with any pre-E3 rumour, this isn’t confirmed in the slightest, but it will be interesting to see whether the Belmonts will make an appearance at everyone’s favourite trade show in just under two weeks time. An updated Mighty Switch Force hits eShop May 24th
Way Forward have announced that a newly remastered version of the thoroughly excellent eShop title Mighty Switch Force will be available to download from May 24th.
The game was first released back in December last year, but fret not current Mighty Switch Force owners, as you’ll be able to download the whole game again for free with all the extra new content already loaded in. These include five brand new bonus levels and a “retry” button for those dedicated speed runners, as well as an enhanced stereoscopic 3D effect for all the old levels too.
Its short length was one of the few criticisms we laid against Mighty Switch Force when we reviewed it back in January, so this is a very welcome piece of news indeed!

3DS nears 1 million sales in the UK
According to Pocket Gamer, 3DS is poised to break through the 1 million sales barrier in the UK. It’s currently estimated to be sitting on around 950,000 units sold after 61 weeks of sale, but don’t get too excited, folks, as DS reached this magic number in just 51 weeks back in March 2006, a whole three months earlier than its successor.
Of course, DS was about half the price and had much less competition than 3DS, but at least it’s not as bad as Vita sales in the UK. By way of comparison, Pocket Gamer also revealed that Vita sales in the UK have just passed 100,000 units after 10 weeks of sale, which is currently less than a third of the number of PSPs sold over the same period.
