Fans are used to seeing Sonic the Hedgehog and Mario being pals these days, but what about Sonic and… Pac-Man?! That’s right, dear readers, the granddaddy of video game mascots is teaming up the Blue Blur for a collaboration for the ages. First, let’s show you what the collab entails and then we’ll get into the details:
Players of Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will each get a cameo from the star of the opposite game. In Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac, Pac-Man can don a special Sonic suit and play through a recreation of Green Hill Zone. There will be two additional Sonic Collab Stages, but Bandai Namco is mum on what they’ll be, at the moment. Players will also get access to a Legendary Pac-Land Costume as part of this DLC pack.

Meanwhile, over in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, Pac-Man is a racer included in that game’s Season Pass, alongside a special Pac-Man-themed race track. Alas, this part of the collaboration won’t drop until early 2026, but it’s on the way. You can see some more of this team-up in the gallery below:

Exciting stuff, indeed, and nice to see two of the most iconic figures in all of video games crossing over like this. Tell us what you think of Pac-Man and Sonic joining forces down in the comments and on social media!

If this isn’t the last surprise addition I don’t know what is.
