Nintendo Switch 2 launches this Thursday, June 5, and in some cases will even be available right at midnight. Alas, while many folks were able to get a hold of a pre-order back in April, many others did not and are now scrambling to try and get one on release day. In an effort to help guide anyone who needs assistance in the right direction, here’s a list of the stores alleging to have Switch 2 in stock and available on a first come, first served basis:
- GameStop (midnight launch)
- Costco
- Best Buy (midnight launch)
- Target
- Staples
- Nintendo New York & San Francisco (06.05.25 12 AM EST NY | 06.04.25 9 PM PST SF)
Please a note a few details before committing to any specific location. First, Staples will have Switch 2, but only at specific locations, which you can find here. Second, the two Nintendo retail locations here in the US, New York and SF, are doing midnight and 9 PM launches of the console—but only if you have a Warp Pipe Pass reservation. Click the preceding links for details. Third, Costco is an option, but likely only makes sense if you already have a membership. Still, if you’re really hoping to get a Switch 2, getting a membership on top of the console is a possible alternative. Finally, Best Buy is hosting midnight releases and, if you’re lucky, you might even get a commemorative Nintendo coin (while supplies last, naturally).
