So there’s this trade show coming up. It’s called E3, or something. You might have heard of it? It’s a merry little time at the Los Angeles Convention Center where an almost obscene number of video game developers and media people get together and talk a lot about video games. All in all, pretty rad, but it’s kind of a new thing. Probably not that important.
Just kidding, of course. But E3 really is coming around, and boy, have we got a show for you. While we’re getting ready for our onslaught of E3 coverage, we have a bunch of for-fun articles that’ll tickle your fancy in– we hope– all sorts of positive ways. (Alternative medicine, we hear, has recently endorsed Nintendojo as a way to cure colds.) Katharine Byrne wrangled together a league of extraordinary Nintendojoites for our “See You on Wii U” feature last week– and “See Me in 3D” is coming right up this week, starting Tuesday.
After all, if Nintendo’s about anything at all, it’s about innovation. I know, I know, it’s a bit of a tired word these days, which is ironic. But take a look at Wii U’s tablet controller or the cameras and gyroscope of the 3DS and it’s not hard to see why we’re excited to see old characters in new ways. Heck, people talk about seeing “good” Sonic games and “new” Call of Duty games all the time. With Nintendo’s hardware, it’s that much easier to, how you say, blow gamers’ minds— and our “See Me in 3D” feature will help make that happen.
Not that E3 needs the help. Next week promises to be something full of crazy news and awe-inspiring announcements, and Nintendojo will be here to keep the car running. Let’s-a-go!
