Given the vast catalog of power ups across history (let alone the Mario Bros. series), this was a tough poll to put together. So we picked a bunch of our favorites that we know have worked wonders for us when the odds were stacked against us, and hope the same is true for you. Which one has been your savior most frequently? The Red Shells were most helpful in Super Circuit on the GBA, they became less effective in Double Dash and on Wii. What has become even more useful is the Golden Mushroom.
The pleasure of picking up that magic fungi and blasting past every single other racer before crossing the finish line first is so satisfying. Never gets old :P
