Today, Nintendo unveiled a new special edition Nintendo 3DS XL to coincide with the release of Yoshi’s New Island. Curiously enough, unlike other recent special editions, this one will not come with the game pre-installed, or with a download code. Instead, the game will have to be purchased separately. It will, however, still release on March 14, the same day as Yoshi’s New Island. The system will retail for $199.99, the standard price for a 3DS XL.
