While Switch owning fans of 3D platformers are likely most looking forward to Super Mario Odyssey, it’s not the only title in that genre coming to the system. Yooka-Laylee has already been released on most other consoles, but some Kickstarter supporters and other gamers have been waiting for the chance to play it on a Nintendo system. Thankfully, we should soon learn when exactly we’ll get the chance to play it.
The developer, Playtonic Games, recently tweeted out confirmation that they will have a release date for us soon as the Switch version has entered testing. This effectively means that core development has wrapped up, and now it’s just a matter of making sure everything works as it should.
For those asking, with this game update complete we're now entering console & Switch specific testing & should have final date shortly after
