When Archie Comics first got the rights to publish comics based on Mega Man, it seemed it would only be a matter of time before he crossed paths with Sonic the Hedgehog. After all, Archie had been publishing comics featuring the blue blur since 1992, and the title has maintained a faithful fan base ever since. The first crossover between the two characters, World’s Collide, focused primarily on the heroes and their supporting casts. For the follow-up, Worlds Unite, Archie Comics is upping the ante.
The cast of World’s Unite will include a veritable who’s who of Sega and Capcom’s most popular and enduring franchises. Think of it as a video game version of Crisis on Infinite Earths. Thus far, the creative team has revealed that characters from Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, Breath of Fire 3, Viewtiful Joe, and Alex Kid will appear, alongside Mega Man X and Sticks, of Sonic Boom. Archie Comics has provided a teaser image with several characters still left unrevealed. We’ve mirrored it below for your viewing pleasure!
