Voice actor Kevin Conroy has passed away at the age of 66. Conroy portrayed many different characters over the course of his career, but for most fans, especially those who grew up in the ’90s, he is most remembered for his depiction of Batman. Conroy’s take on the Dark Knight was mesmerizing. The iconic role began in 1992 with Batman: The Animated Series and then stretched across several Batman animated series, movies, and projects. Conroy’s Batman eventually made its way into the world of video games where he would voice Batman in developer Rocksteady’s Arkham series, as well as the Injustice franchise. Conroy had been battling cancer, but unfortunately was not able to overcome the disease. He is survived by his husband Vaughn C. Williams, sister Trisha, and brother Tom. Rest in Peace, Dark Knight—you touched countless people with your voice across the years.
