Back in January 2017, Ubisoft pledged to bring three games to Nintendo Switch: Just Dance 2017, Rayman Legends Definitive Edition, and Steep. Only two of those games ever made it to the console (neither one being Steep), and now we’ve learned Ubisoft will no longer be bringing the game to Switch.
Hey @RJISAGAMER! We are wholly dedicated to supporting the live game, and made the decision to stop Steep development on the Nintendo Switch platform to focus on bringing new live content and challenges to Steep players instead. We’ll have more exciting news to share soon.

The news was confirmed via this tweet from the official Steep Twitter account in response to a user asking if there was any news on the Switch version of the game. Steep has received mixed reviews on the other platforms it was released on, but this is one of the only titles we’ve seen cancelled on Switch so far, and from a developer that has been pretty supportive of the console.
Are you disappointed by this news? Have you played Steep on any other platform, and if so, what did you think? Start a conversation in the comments.
