With the upcoming worldwide release of Pokémon Sun and Moon coming up this November, the slow but steady stream of new information is guaranteed to continue, and the most recent little nugget of news is the introduction of two new creatures. Japanese magazine CoroCoro recently got to reveal Mimikkyu and Kiteruguma to the world.
Mimikkyu is a Ghost- and Fairy-type that sort of resembles a poorly made Pikachu puppet that’s been possessed, because that’s kind of what it is. The creature itself hates being out in the light so it chooses to hide in the Pikachu guise because it wants to be popular like the electric rat. Mimikkyu has the Disguise ability.
Kiteruguma is also a mixed type, Fighting and Normal, and can have the Fluffy and Klutz abilities. This bear-like creature is obviously quite friendly looking and apparently likes hugging people, which, when combines with it’s incredible strength and tendency to break things in half, makes people quite afraid of it.
Of course, it bears mentioning that these names are based of straight Japanese translations and Pokémon names tend to change from region to region, so expect both to be called something else by the time they reach your shores.

Based on its tail, Kiteruguma looks like it’s supposed to be a red panda, which I couldn’t be more excited about.
Mimikkyu is both cute and really creepy looking. He reminds me of Sam from the movie Trick r Treat. So far, I’m really digging the new Pokemon we’ve seen unveiled for this game!
