Nintendo Switch Online subscribers have a couple of new Game Boy games to play. Mario’s Picross and Donkey Kong (’94) are the two games in question, and they’re both a real treat. Take a look at the pair in this trailer:
Donkey Kong was actually just re-remade—you might recall last March when Mario vs. Donkey Kong came out on Nintendo Switch. That game is a remake of Mario vs. Donkey Kong on Game Boy Advance, which in turn is a remake of Donkey Kong ’94. There’s an Inception joke in here somewhere, but we’ll abstain from making it. Whether you’ve played the Switch take, the GBA version, or even the original, Donkey Kong ’94 is always worthy of a play.
Mario’s Picross, meanwhile, is a fantastic puzzle game that will definitely get the sleuthing, puzzle-solving among us very excited as they try to use logic to put together cute little pixel art images. Overall, this is quite a satisfying update to the Switch Online library. As ever, users must have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription in order to play.
