Tomorrow, Nintendo is slated to hold a Pokémon Direct broadcast. The news had many speculating that a new pair of titles would be revealed for release later this year. Just barely 24 hours prior to the Direct, trademark filings have let slip that the newest games in the franchise will indeed be revealed!
Pokémon Sun version and Moon version have nothing more than official logo art at this time. The franchise already has a pair of Pokémon that represent the sun and moon (Solrock and Lunatone, respectively), so perhaps those characters will play some role in the games themselves. Either way, we’ll likely have more information tomorrow!
