Monster Hunter may already be one of Capcom’s most lucrative franchises, but it’s clear the publisher has big plans for the series’ upcoming spin-off, Monster Hunter Stories. Back in May, Capcom announced that the game would be receiving its own set of Amiibo (making it the first third-party title to receive a batch of compatible figures, though Yacht Club Games’ Shovel Knight was the first third-party character to be immortalized in Amiibo form), and now the publisher has announced a second wave of Amiibo will be released for Monster Hunter Stories on December 8.
As before, the second wave of Monster Hunter Stories Amiibo will consist of three figures: Cheval riding a Rathian; Ayuria riding a Barioth; and Dan riding a Qurupeco. What makes these figures particularly neat is that players can actually remove the characters from the backs of their monsters and swap them with each other, allowing you to create your own custom combinations. You can take a gander at the new Amiibo figures below.
Capcom has still yet to announce a western release for Monster Hunter Stories.
