Third party releases may have all but dried up on Wii U, but fortunately, it seems at least one fairly major next-gen title will be coming to the console in the near future. Tantalus Media, the developer behind the Wii U conversions of Mass Effect 3 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution, is currently working on bringing a game for “an absolute top notch publisher” to Nintendo’s system.
While details on the project are scant at the moment, Tantalus’ Tom Crago has said that the title will be launching this year and is the “biggest thing” the studio has ever done. This is certainly good news for Wii U owners, as outside of Nintendo’s own software lineup (much of which is still without a definitive release date), there seems to be little in store for the console this year.
We’ll have more information on Tantalus’ mystery project as it develops. Have you purchased either of the developer’s previous Wii U ports? What do you think its current project is? Sound off below in the comments!
