Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment was a surprise reveal back in April of this year, but nonetheless an exciting one for fans of both the Hyrule Warriors games, but also those who enjoy world building inside of the Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom era of Zelda’s history. At the time, it was revealed that Age of Imprisonment will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 this winter, and after last week’s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, well… that’s still the case! However, fans at least got to get a better look at the game, which you can, too:
There’s not much else to say beyond what the trailer shows, but here’s Nintendo’s blurb about the game from its PR:
Experience an untold story from Hyrule’s distant past. The Imprisoning War led to the events of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and players can experience the thrill of battle in this canonical tale. Featuring Princess Zelda, King Rauru, and other characters teaming up to fight for Hyrule’s future.
The game is certainly looking like it has the potential to be something special. If nothing else, Koei Tecmo has certainly nailed the aesthetic of Tears of the Kingdom. Once Nintendo provides a release date, we’ll let you all know. In the interim, tell us what you think of Age of Imprisonment down in the comments and on social media!
