On the first of the month, dire news struck fans of Nintendo Switch emulators. Ryujinx, second of the two most popular Switch emulators has been taken down. The Twitter account published a screenshot from their Discord, announcing the news that Nintendo had struck an offer with the project runner to take down the project.

This news hits fresh in the mind of other emulator fans, as the other popular Switch emulator Yuzu settled out of court with Nintendo, resulting in a similar shutdown of the project earlier this year. Similarly to Yuzu, the shutdown of Ryujinx did not become a court case, which could have set legal precedent for the legality of all emulators.
