Splatoon has gone from a quirky Wii U showpiece at E3 2014 to one of the hottest Nintendo franchises on the planet. The series’ popularity has been astoundingly meteoric, with a plethora of toys, clothes, and even manga having been released in the years since launch. Now, a manga that was run in Japanese publication CoroCoro is coming to the west for the first time: get ready for Splatoon: Squid Kids Comedy Show!
The first volume will be launching on July 14. It’s 128 pages of zany hi jinks; anyone who’s enjoyed VIZ’s mainline Splatoon manga will likely get a kick out of it, but keep in mind that neither title is really targeted at adults—but if you’re a kid at heart or just enjoy lighthearted comedy, don’t let that stop you! Here’s how VIZ describes it:
“New Inklings take center stage as they and their friends embark on hilarious escapades in the world of Splatoon, the hit video game series from Nintendo!”
