Fans of Splatoon 2 have a lot to look forward to, as Nintendo has announced that some hefty DLC is on the way. For free DLC, we’ll be getting the update that is Splatoon 2 version 3.0. Over 100 pieces of gear will be added to the game along with the stages Piranha Pit, Camp Triggerfish, and Wahoo World. There will also be the opportunity to rise to the new “X” Rank in online multiplayer! This is all coming in April.
The paid DLC is something altogether different. Dubbed the Octo Expansion, this will bring with it an entirely new single-player adventure with 80 stages to tackle. Once completed, it will allow players to (finally) go into online battle as an Octo rather than an Inkling. The expansion will cost $20.00 and anyone who pre-purchases it now will get immediate access to Octo gear! The actual Octo Expansion DLC will hit in summer. Peep some fresh screenshots, below:
