SEGA is ramping up for a busy Nintendo Switch 2 launch week with three different titles coming out (Sonic X Shadow Generations, Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, and Puyo Puyo Tetris 25), but that’s not all the developer has up its sleeve. Waiting in the wings is its revival of the Shinobi series with Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. The game, which is being spearheaded by Streets of Rage 4 co-developer Lizardcube, is looking very promising with a bold art style and impressive looking combat.
The latter is being shown off in a brand new trailer, which you can watch right here:
Fans get a look at series’ hero Joe Musashi utilizing an array of Ninji weapons and gear, including a glider, claws, and hooks. The trailer also shows off some lethal finishing moves that players will be able to take advantage of. Joe also has some tricky Ninpo attacks that he can use, as well, making him quite the versatile fighter. The ninja action kicks off starting August 29, 2025 on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
