WayForward Technologies, developer of the upcoming 3DS title Shantae And The Pirate’s Curse, has announced delays for its latest title. In a tweet, WayForward said:

A Metroidvania-style game focusing on gradual upgrading and exploration within a large, open area, Shantae’s latest outing is a sequel to the 2010 DSiWare game Shantae: Risky’s Revenge. It’s being developed alongside Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, available for multiple platforms and funded by over 18,000 Kickstarter backers to the tune of three-quarters of a million dollars.
