The well had run dry for Nintendo fans of Electronic Arts and its various franchises. From Madden to Star Wars Battlefront, any number of popular titles from EA were largely absent on Switch. There was FIFA and the occasional port like Unravel Two, but otherwise things were largely crickets from the industry giant. That changed today during EA Play Live, however, where it was revealed that seven EA games will be coming to Nintendo Switch over the next 12 months.
Respawn Entertainment’s Senior Social Media Manager Alex Ackerman made the reveal:
“You can expect seven new games coming to Switch in the next 12 months – including Burnout Paradise coming tomorrow, and Apex Legends later this year.”
That’s quite the revelation! We’d reported rumors of multiple titles coming to Nintendo Switch from EA, including Apex Legends, which was announced during today’s festivities. Which other games are coming is up for speculation, but it’s exciting to think that EA is back in the Nintendo fold.
