Super Nintendo Wii controller!

In Japan, gamers were treated to their own Wii controller accessory, the Super Famicom controller. Now, gadget and gift websites are doing their own version for those of us outside that hallowed archipelago! ThinkGeek are now selling an add-on that connects to the Wii controller, and can be used along with the classic SNES titles available for purchase in Nintendo’s Virtual Console store.

Priced at around $20, it’s affordable, and makes all that nostalgic gaming that little bit more authentic with its near-identical appearance to the original SNES controller!

Nintendo 3DS sales continue to rise

Earlier this week we reported that UK 3DS sales were nearing 1 million units, but in Japan, Nintendo have shifted over six times that number. What’s more, in last week alone, the 3DS sold more than every other games console combined, at 45,752 units; septuple that of its competitor, the PlayStation Vita.

In addition to this impressive feat, Nintendo is dominating the handheld game charts too, with weeks-old titles such as Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 still flying high.
