Rayman Origins Headed to the eShop?

“The full version of the game will be available at retailers and online on June 5, 2012.”

There have been some conversations around the web debating whether or not this quote by Ubisoft means that Rayman Origins, which will hit retailers on June 5 for 3DS, will be coming to the eShop as a download. Really, it could be taken either way, but I’m leaning towards the side that believes “online” means Amazon and other online retailers. I guess we’ll have to see!

Club Nintendo Product Registration to Change?

According to a recently filed patent, Nintendo may be changing the way we register our games for Club Nintendo. The coins are supposedly going to be printed on the game box itself, but they will only work once the game is purchased. Then, there is some talk about not being able to trade in a game whose coins you’ve already spent, which, to me, seems far-fetched. Once again, I guess we’ll have to see, but this sounds like an intelligent idea to stop consumers from trading in their games.
