Arc System Works and APlus Games have announced the re-release of the 2016 title River City: Rival Showdown for Switch and other platforms.
This re-release of the classic Nintendo 3DS sandbox brawler is coming updated with tweaked controls, graphical upgrades, and a new online mode in the form of Double Dragon Duel 2023. River City: Rival Showdown, itself is a remaster of the original River City Ransom. The re-release is planned for October 12th 2023 for Switch, PC, and PlayStation 4 with English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options.
Japan will be getting a physical release that will include the River City: Rival Showdown Original Soundtrack DX CD as a pre-order bonus. Check out the trailer below!
Players can now dive into an exciting multiplayer mode that lets them choose their favorite characters from various River City titles to engage in thrilling battles. Secret characters can also be unlocked from within the main game. The campaign has also been enriched with fresh story events, providing players with various paths to choose from and multiple captivating endings to uncover.
