Switch already plays host to quite a lot of shoot-em-ups, often referred to as shmups. Among these ranks includes a title often considered one of the best, Ikaruga, a game that developed a cult following when released on GameCube back in 2002 and whose legacy has led to it being ported to just about every platform since then. However, Treasure, the game’s developer, did plenty of games before Ikaruga, including the similarly praised, but less played, Radiant Silvergun.
Now, thanks to a recent tweet from Treasure, it looks like gamers might get the chance to check out Radiant Silergun on Switch. While they stress this isn’t an official announcement, the developer confirms that not only do they want to do it, but they originally planned to release it alongside Ikaruga, which landed on the Switch eShop back in May. While we don’t know the exact reason why this plan didn’t come to fruition, it’s at least interesting to know the developers want this port to happen.
Radiant Silvergun. Switch. Yes, I planned to go with IKARUGA at the same time, but it stopped. Please wait. However, I can not promise.

Hopefully the buzz generated by this tweet will light the fires needed to make Radiant Silvergun on Switch a reality. But, until we get an official announcement, stay on the lookout.
