Forgive us. The news cycle is a merciless beast, with so many bits and pieces of information floating around it can sometimes be hard to keep track of it all. Mixed in all the hubbub was word from The Kraft Heinz Company that it was partnering with Nintendo to make Super Mario-themed Kraft Mac & Cheese. Here’s a bit about the collaboration from the press release:
For over thirty years, fan-favorite KRAFT Mac & Cheese shapes have delighted fans of all generations. To celebrate, today, KRAFT teams up with Nintendo, to launch KRAFT Mac & Cheese Super Mario Power-Up Shapes. Featuring Fire Flower, Super Star, and Super Mushroom shapes, the new offering draws inspiration from iconic elements of the Super Mario universe that power up Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and others in the games.
The announcement came in July and it stated that KRAFT Mac & Cheese Super Mario Power-Up Shapes would be available in stores shortly thereafter, both in boxes and four-packs of the Easy Mac cups. This writer hadn’t seen any in the SF Bay Area until about a week ago, so perhaps in some places it’s either taken longer to arrive, or it was bought up instantly and is now getting restocked. But honestly, who cares either way—what’s important here is that Super Mario mac & cheese exists and the world is a better place for it.
