After silently launching in New Zealand and Australia earlier this week, Pokémon Go, the joint collaboration between The Pokémon Company and mobile developer Niantic, has finally be released on the iOS and Google Play stores in the United States.
Unlike mainline Pokémon titles, Pokémon Go uses augmented reality to make Pokémon appear around the real world, encouraging players to go to that location and capture them. Players can also use the Pokémon they catch to battle for control of Gyms, which are established at different real-world locations.

No. Because they hate Canada for some reason.
Downloaded it. Caught a few Pokemon. Walked around a bit. The game locked up. Now server issues are keeping me from logging back on. I’d almost caught an Eevee too. -_-
I saw a couple of guys walking around in the ridiculous heat here today in Central Florida trying to catch some Pokemon.
I think I’ll stick to Geocaching in the cooler months.
