Attention, Pokémon fans: not only are Pokémon Sun and Moon finally compatible with the Pokémon Bank service, but so are the Virtual Console versions of Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow. This means Pokémon transferred from those retro titles can be sent directly into Pokémon Sun and Moon, but as cool as that is, bear in mind that’s a one-way trip. However, VC Pokémon transferred into Sun and Moon will receive little Game Boy icons in their profile.
Furthermore, all Pokémon Bank subscribers can obtain a free Mewnium Z. Exclusive to Mew, Sun and Moon players can obtain this through the Mystery Gift feature and receive a Mystery Card containing the item. To reiterate, only Sun and Moon players can receive this prize.
