This evening, The Pokémon Company pulled back the curtain on a number of new projects coming in the near future. Tsunekazu Ishihara started things off with the announcement of Detective Pikachu 2, a sequel to the 3DS game. Coming to Switch, the title will continue the adventures of Pikachu and Tim Goodman. Fans that have seen the theatrical release were told not to expect the same ending!

The night’s second major announcement came in the form of Pokémon Home. The app will allow players to sync their Pokémon from Bank, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Sword, Shield and Go, allowing players to trade Pokémon with one another right from their phones! Pokémon Home will release in 2020. One thing is for certain: it’s nice to see that the integration between the main series games and Go will continue!

A good portion of the evening’s festivities centered around sleep, believe it or not! Pokémon Sleep is a new game coming to iOS and Android devices. Details remain slim at this time, but the game will track the amount of sleep a player receives throughout the night and integrate that into the gameplay! The whole thing is made possible thanks to a new piece of technology from Nintendo. The Pokémon Go Plus+ will feature all the same bells and whistles as the Go Plus, but with a sleep tracker. To celebrate the focus on healthy sleep habits, sleeping Snorlax can be found in the wild in Pokémon Go right now! Pokémon Sleep is being developed by Select Button, the team behind Magikarp Jump.

The night’s final announcement came in the form of Pokémon Masters, another iOS and Android game, this time developed alongside DeNa. The new game will apparently feature a number of major trainers from the main series games in three-on-three battles. The battles will apparently be more casual oriented.
