When Donkey Kong 64 debuted in 1999, it was accompanied by one of the most interesting pieces of music in all of Nintendo history. Written by Grant Kirkhope, the DK Rap quickly became the stuff of video game legend.

When Playtonic Games first announced Yooka-Laylee, the spiritual successor to a number of Rare classics, the developer also announced that a throwback to the classic DK Rap would also appear in the game. Yooka-Laylee is certainly shaping up to be an interesting title! Be sure to let us know what you think of the rap in the comments below!
