Last month, Switch owners were pleasantly surprised to find that Doom had successfully made the jump to Nintendo’s newest platform. While many were concerned that the system’s technical limitations would result in an inferior product, developer Panic Button was able to port the game to Switch with minimal compromise. Now the team is working on another first-person title on Switch: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus!

MachineGames, the original developer behind Wolfenstein II, confirmed the news at the Fun & Serious Game Festival during an interview with Game Reactor. According to the developer, “the Doom version turned out to be really kick-ass on the Switch, so I think Wolfenstein will be the same.”

A good Wolfenstein II port would certainly make a great addition to the Switch’s library. The title has earned a number of accolades this year, including “Best Action Game” at The Game Awards. Do you plan on picking up Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus when it arrives on Switch? Let us know in the comments below!
