It’s Thursday and there is a host of new content available on both Wii U and 3DS. Read on for our highlights of this week’s Nintendo Download:
Releases
Wii U Virtual Console
- Metroid Prime Hunters – $9.99 – The well-remembered Nintendo DS entry in the Metroid Prime series, which introduced gamers to six other playable bounty hunters, finally makes its way to the North American Wii U Virtual Console.
3DS
- Sssnakes – $1.99 – An updated version of the classic ’90s mobile game.
New 3DS Virtual Console
- Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble – $7.99 – The last Donkey Kong Country game before its revival in 2010 (and Rare’s final entry in the series), this adventure stars Dixie and Kiddy Kong in a quest to rescue Donkey and Diddy, who have been captured by King K. Rool. While not as fondly remembered by many as previous entries in the series, it nonetheless stands the test of time and features some fiendishly difficult platforming.
3DS DLC
- Fire Emblem Fates – New DLC Maps: V: Endless Dawn – $1.99
- Fire Emblem Fates – Map Pack 2 DLC – $7.99
Discounts
The highlight this week has to be the Capcom sale going on across both Wii U and 3DS. Games like Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and DuckTales Remastered can be picked up at a fraction of their normal price, so be sure to have a look at the full selection on offer before the sale ends at 8:59 PM on June 6.
This week’s major releases are all on the 3DS, but there are still a couple of games out on Wii U. As always, head over to the Nintendo eShop for the full list of this week’s new releases and discounts.
