Capcom is having a seemingly massive spring sale, with discounts upwards of 60 percent. Not only that, but a few new titles are also dropping on the eShop, and a few new Virtual Console games are finally being released. Let’s dive right into this week’s offerings:
Releases
Wii U eShop
- Nihilumbra – $7.99
- Ultratron – $8.99 – When darkness and shooters fuse together in the essence of a pixelated street jungle, you get Ultratron. Bringing its roots back to the days when pixels were about utilizing color over definition, Ultratron, from what is known of it, looks absolutely gorgeous.
- Funk of Titans – $8.99
Wii U Virtual Console
- New Super Mario Bros. – $9.99 – When it first launched, New Super Mario Bros. was distinctive for being Nintendo’s first side-scrolling Mario game in over a decade. The game proves that Nintendo will always have a little bit of 2D Mario in its heart and is worth a look if you don’t already own the DS game.
- Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue – $7.99
- Mega Man Battle Network 3 White – $7.99
3DS eShop/Retail
- 3D Thunder Blade – $5.99
- Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains – $39.99 – From Atlus and Spike Chunsoft comes one of the first Attack on Titan games to be localized. We gave it some thorough playing to see if it pairs up well against the anime or if it falls off and gets devoured by titans.
- Stretchmo – Free-to-start
3DS Themes
- Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains – Free with digital purchase
- Pushmo: Mallo & Friends – $1.99
- Sega 3D Classics Fantasy Zone – $1.99
- Sega 3D Classics Space Harrier – $1.99

- DuckTales: Remastered – Reduced from $14.99 to $6.75 (until May 28, 2015) – An all-time classic game that managed to fill us with nostalgia and brought the feeling of its unforgivingly hard gameplay flooding back to light. The visuals, the voices, and even the feelings of playing the original game manage to stay true here in DuckTales: Remastered. Check out our review of the game.
- Resident Evil: Revelations – Reduced from $39.99 to $15.99 (until May 28, 2015) – We’ve covered this port of one of 3DS’s earlier titles and we thought it held up pretty well. From the gameplay to the utilization of Wii U’s feature, it was a strong, well-created game.

Anyone have opinions about Wooden Sen’Sey? Worth a punt given the price?
GetClose is very cool and worth buying. Chronicles of Mystara isn’t for everyone, but an awesome price for a very good game if you like 90’s arcade experiences. Both get a recommendation from me!
