On March 3, 2017, Nintendo Switch burst onto the scene and has been flying off store shelves and breaking sales records left and right ever since.

Nintendo’s console has taken the world by storm in its first year, with blockbuster launches like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, ARMS, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Switch versions of Wii U hits like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Pokken Tournament DX.

The Switch has also made a name for itself as being the hot destination for indie games – or “Nindies,” rather – due to Nintendo’s welcome embrace of indie developers on the console. From Stardew Valley to Overcooked: Special Edition to Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, Switch is where a plethora of Nindies call home and to where many more indie devs continue to flock.

Nintendo is showing no signs of slowing down in 2018: Kirby Star Allies, Nintendo Labo, Mario Tennis Aces, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, DARK SOULS: REMASTERED, and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus are just a handful of the upcoming titles we can expect to see on Switch this year. And knowing Nintendo, there’s probably a number of things hidden up its sleeve that are yet to be revealed. And we can’t wait to be there to share the news as it happens!

What’s been your favorite game (or some of your favorite games) on Nintendo Switch so far? Which confirmed games are you most looking forward to, and what do you hope Nintendo announces for the future? Drop us a comment below.
