Nintendo announced last May that Nintendo San Francisco would be opening up in 2025. In a little less than a year this promise will be fulfilled when the store has its grand opening on May 15, 2025. Nintendo made the announcement via its official X account and detailed some of the finer points about the launch in a press release. Let’s dive into the pertinent details:
On May 15th, Nintendo will open the doors to Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO, its second official store in the United States.
Details on reservation requirements—and an early look at exclusive products—will be shared as we approach the grand opening.

- Like Nintendo New York, Nintendo SF will have exclusive merchandise that won’t be available anywhere else.
- There will be a reservation system to get in.
- Fans will be able to get an exclusive in-person look at store prior to the grand opening by entering the My Nintendo x Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO Sweepstakes. Click this link to enter. You and up to two other guests will be able to explore for three nights and four days, with a guided tour to boot.
Nintendo San Francisco is located at 331 Powell Street in SF’s Union Square. Hopefully Nintendo will have security measures in place to accommodate for the high crime in downtown San Francisco.
