Gamescom will soon be getting underway in Germany, but Nintendo decided to get started early this year with a fairly long video announcing a bunch of new games from indie developers. The list includes ports of already successful titles, like Prison Architect and Terreria, as well newer or lesser known fare like Morphies Law or the beautiful looking Children of Morta. Altogether, there are 15 titles and the video actually shows off a fair amount of each. It’s well worth the watch as a few of the titles are available right now.
Personally, I think the list is a little heavy on roguelikes/dungeon crawlers but that is one of the more prominent trends right now, so it’s to be expected. That being said, I’m very interested in Everspace, which is a roguelike but this time it’s wrapped up in the mechanics of space combat; plus it’s absolutely gorgeous. Which titles are you looking most forward to?
