Nintendo Music continues to get regular content drops, but the app is also still growing and maturing as its users make requests from what they’d like to see from the service. At the end of April, Nintendo Music got an update that added more extended-playback tracks to the app. Now, another quality of life update has come in the form of version 1.2.0 of the software—here’s what’s included:

Ver. 1.2.0 Update Notification

Nintendo Music Ver.1.2.0 has been released.

Details

  • A sleep timer feature has been added. With it, you can set playback to stop. It’s suited to listening to music before going to sleep.
  • The following updates have been made to the extended play feature for more convenient use:
    • Extend to… settings will now apply to entire playlists.
    • It is now possible to set durations of five or 10 minutes.
  • We have addressed some issues to provide a better user experience.

The sleep timer is a nice touch for those who might want to drift off to sleep at night listening to Fear Factory or Donut Plains, for instance. The extended play change is a similarly welcome tweak, although it’s a bit frustrating that the app doesn’t simply allow all tracks to have an extended play option. Still, what’s more important here is that Nintendo doesn’t seem content with resting on its laurels and is continuing to try and make Nintendo Music the best service it can be.
