There has been some curiosity as to what the new Link Amiibo’s functionality will be in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. Thankfully, as the wait for the game’s September 20 launch draws nearer, more information has been unveiled. In the game’s Chamber Dungeons (player-made labyrinths that feature interchangeable rooms), a tap of the figurine will summon Shadow Link to come and give the real deal grief.

Another feature revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast is that players’ Chamber Dungeons can be saved to any Amiibo that’s part of the Zelda family of figurines. Whether it’s Young Link or a Moblin, if it’s a Zelda Amiibo, it can store the data. Then, players can transfer their works of dungeon designing art to a friend’s Switch to give it a shot. Pretty cool!
