There were quite a few game announcements during today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast, but there were also a couple of non-game reveals, as well. One was the Nintendo Today! app, which is made to be both a calendar and a means of getting the latest Nintendo news—daily! The announcement was made by Shigeru Miyamoto himself:
During the presentation, Miyamoto noted how fans (since 2011—time flies!) have come to view each Direct broadcast as an event unto itself. In the spirit of these showcases, the Nintendo Today! app will be bringing daily doses of Nintendo-centric news and announcements. This includes details regarding Nintendo Switch 2, as well as trivia about characters and series, videos, animations, and much more. The app can also be used to keep track of various Nintendo events and game releases.
It’s available to download right now. Users need only have a Nintendo Account in order to use the app.
