It sounds like fans of music creation and rhythm games alike will have quite a bit to look forward to with Nintendo’s slightly eccentric new title Daigasso! Band Brothers P; provided, of course, that it ever makes its way out of Japan and in to the world at large.
In a Japanese Nintendo Direct on October 29, the Big N went in to detail about some of the upcoming game’s features; specifics included the availability of 4,000 songs at launch (though each player will only be able to download 100 without forking over some extra cash), the ability to upload the songs you’ve created to YouTube and download those created by others, as well as various instruments and tools to help in the creation and customization of your music tracks.
Perhaps the most exciting feature detailed in the mini press conference was the ability for players to record a short video of themselves using the 3DS camera, sing a bar or two, and then voila, through the magic of the built in voice synthesis software, transform instantaneously into a handy, dandy, and likely adorable vocaloid.
This will be the third entry in Nintendo’s Daigasso franchise, known as Jam with the Band to the European readers in the audience. It is set to release on November 14 in Japan, with no current release schedule announced for other markets.
