With the Pokémon brand still going strong after more than two decades, Nintendo will be celebrating with Pokémon Day or, more appropriately, Pokémon Days. The Nintendo Store in New York will be ending February and kicking off March with a plethora of Pokémon themed activities.
The festivities will start on Wednesday, February 27, and run through Sunday, March 3. Events include appearances from Pikachu and Eevee as well as face painting. The full schedule is as follows:
Wednesday February 27th
3pm-6pm: Face Painting
4pm-5pm: Trade ‘n’ Play card activity
5pm-6pm: Nintendo Treehouse Q&A
6pm-8pm: Pikachu & Eevee appearance
Thursday February 28th
6pm-7pm: Nintendo Treehouse Q&A
6pm-8pm: Pikachu & Eevee appearance
Friday March 1st
4pm-5pm: Trade ‘n’ Play card activity
5pm-6pm: Nintendo Treehouse Q&A
6pm-8pm: Pikachu & Eevee appearance
Saturday March 2nd
11am-2pm: Face Painting

While these events sound like plenty of fun for the whole family, the presence of Nintendo Treehouse has people wondering. In addition to handling localization, the Treehouse staff are often Nintendo’s go-to team for showing off new games. Combine this with the promise of a currently unrevealed new Pokémon game later this year, and you have speculation that the next entry in the popular series will be shown off. Of course, we’ll have to wait until the festivities begin before we know for sure.
